However I’ve found in my experience using it to run a 24″ ASUS 1080p LCD monitor off my early 2009 MacBook it lags when watching video/movies in full screen mode. Not so bad with cartoons but any detail and it just skips/lags to much. This happens (For me anyway) on every resolution from full 1920×1080 60Hz down to about 720×480 then it seems to be smooth enough in full screen mode.
